They are designed to kill fleas and other insects like ants, cockroaches, and earwigs. Generally they prevents hatching eggs developing into fleas and protects carpets, soft furnishings and pet bedding from infestation. They are easy to use and effective in the home.

Eggs represent half of the flea lifecycle and should be considered the hidden menace, as they can survive in carpet and pet bedding for up to a year. Eggs develop into larvae which spin a cocoon for the pupae to develop in. Once within the cocoon they are hard to kill and this is the reason it is imperative flea development is halted at the egg stage and not allowed to develop this far.
