How to Order

Ordering online from Seapets is easy. All card transactions take place on a secure server and we accept all major Credit and Debit cards.

Just add the required items to your shopping basket and then follow the simple steps from the prompts displayed.

On receipt of your order, we will send you an order confirmation email with an order number.  Usually we need 24 hours following the day of order to pick, prepare and despatch. When your order is packed to go a despatch confirmation email, with a tracking number is sent. Our Couriers then need 24 hours to complete delivery. Light items sent by Royal Mail are not trackable.

Bespoke Dog Coats, some Pet Beds and out of stock items will take a little longer. Whilst we work seven days, carriers do not, so orders received after Fridays collection time will be collected from us on the Monday.

As a guide, disregarding the time of order, allow three to four working days for receipt. It may be faster or occasionally a day longer. Any long term out of stocks, normally due to suppliers issues, will be notified.

Delivery Charges

Free Standard delivery on orders over £29, Mainland Only. Upgrade to Priority Express Delivery for just £2.95, Fast packing and despatched for fastest delivery for in stock products. Aquarium delivery charges detailed below.

Our regular delivery charge is £4.95 for parcels up to 30kg. The shopping basket weight is calculated as products are added, it normally takes a lot of products to get to 30kg.

For small items that we are able to post, the charge is only £2.95 (First Class Parcel Post) but is solely at our discretion, we want you returning regularly so we will always keep the cost to the minimum.

Our couriers charge us more to send items to certain more remote or distant destinations (including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Scilly and Channel Islands, and certain parts of Scotland, such as the Highlands) so we have no choice but to add a small, subsidised, additional cost for delivery to these areas.

Areas of the UK with an additional charge include: AB30-56, IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-50, ZE, IM, BT and TR21-25.

For these areas, a surcharge of £6.95 will be added to the delivery charge quoted on the order, including where free delivery is stated as this applies to the mainland. MORE INFORMATION

Aquariums and Large Terrariums/Vivariums

Aquariums and Terrariums made of glass are normally delivered free throughout mainland England. Customers are always contacted by Seapets, or our carrier to arrange a suitable delivery day. We prefer to allow three working days from order to delivery, but next day is possible. Carriers are not insured to carry any item into the house so please be sure to have help available if required.  As an approved retailer, Seapets ensures that all products are fully guaranteed and we have a great replacement service when necessary, glass is never guaranteed against breakage, so be sure to check the aquarium by opening the protective packaging before signing to accept the delivery, the aquarium will be replaced as long as it is not signed for as undamaged, such damage is very rare but possible. Please have a responsible person available to receive the delivery as arranged as carriers may charge for a second delivery. Saturday deliveries may be possible but can cost up to £30 extra.

Aquarium orders requiring delivery to Scotland, (CA, TD, DG, KA, ML, EH, KY, G FK)  Wales (LL, SY, SA), Cumbria, Devon and Cornwall (EX, TQ, PL, TR), or Central London (due to tolls and parking) (N, E, SE, SW, W, NW, WC, EC) will be charged at £12.50 and to the Scottish Highlands (KA, PA, DD, AB, PH, IV, KW) a charge of £30.00 will be added, this is solely due to the additional charges made by carriers. We still absorb most of the cost of the delivery. Orders placed for delivery to these areas will be assumed to have accepted this charge. MORE INFORMATION

Free Gifts. Our offer of free items accompanying some products may be accepted or refused by the customer but please understand, that to get the best price we purchase large quantities of these products. We cannot exchange them for other items, however in some cases we may be able to change the colour and a preference may be specified in our delivery instruction box.

Stock and Delivery Times

The stock and delivery times shown against each product are an indication only, if we are temporarily out of stock the days shown are the normal replenishment times by the supplier and depends on their stock. Due to the great choice of dog beds and dog coats, occasionally these are made to order, please allow 7 to 10 days for delivery on these products. We have invested heavily in technology to keep our stock levels to the optimum to ensure customer satisfaction to the very highest level.

When products are in stock, we aim to process and despatch all orders quickly. We try hard to keep you informed via email of the progress of your order. If you require an update at any stage though, please do not hesitate to contact our sales team at sales@seapets.co.uk Part shipping of orders is done at our own discretion.

Channel Islands VAT - Vat is refunded as part of our office procedure for deliveries to the Channel Islands.

Backorders

We keep as much as possible of what is offered on-line in stock. Most items that are out of stock arrive within a week or two. All backorders are shipped within 24 hours of their receipt. If a backordered item is arriving within 48 hours, we will hold the order until it arrives. There are times when items that are manufactured for us take longer than normal to arrive. These items offer the delivery times in the individual product information section.

Our Return/Refund Policy

We want happy customers, we will replace any product if it has a defect, a replacement will be shipped to you upon receipt of the faulty item. Please be careful when selecting an item but if you are not fully satisfied with your purchase you have up to 7 days after delivery of your order to return it to ourselves in a saleable condition with the packaging undamaged. If you have any questions regarding a product or its effects, please contact us and we will do our best to answer your questions.

Any returned goods must be unused and in saleable condition in the original packaging. If returning a product to us, please email sales@seapets.co.uk with the details before doing so as then we can expect your delivery back to ourselves and can process your return faster. Please post Non Faulty items for return to 'The Returns Department', No.1 Tollgate, Stanway, Colchester, Essex, CO3 8RF. Please send your item via a Post Office where you can obtain a receipt of delivery. Also, please include your name, order number and reason for return.

For Damaged or Faulty items please contact our team either by calling us on 0845 230 4777 or by email at sales@seapets.co.uk where you will be given a Freepost address. We are unable to offer a refund for postage of these items which may be either refunded or replacements can then be dispatched immediately.

Parcels returned to us undelivered or refused are charged at £10 to help cover the Courier charge, any additional distance charges may also be added. This is not charged on agreed returns. Palleted goods returned unauthorised are charged at cost, from £30 depending on distance. These charges only apply if the return is not agreed or is not justified. 

For larger aquariums being delivered on pallets we ask our customers to check the aquarium before signing the delivery paperwork. We take great care at Seapets to open and check every aquarium before it is dispatched and in the rare event that damage has occured whilst the aquarium is in transit this can then be rectified smoothly simply by returning the aquarium back with the delivery driver. This ensures all insurance costs are covered and another aquarium can be dispatched immediately and of course delivered at a time suitable for the customer.
