NT Labs Barley Straw Pouch
Barley Straw Pouches are effective against green water algae. Use one single pouch in ponds up to 800 gallons (3500 litres or 130 cubic feet) of water. Harmless to pets, wildlife and pond plants.Natural decomposition by micro-organisms gives rise to anti-algal factors. Keep pouch close to surface in maximum oxygen or in flowing / moving water or attach a string and pull to surface regularly - lift out-dran and put back to allow active ingredients to flow into the pond.
Barley straw pouches can take up to 28 days to start working and thereafter a new pouch added every 6 months will maintain effective control.
