We bought this cage for out two chinese dwarf hamsters. We had little difficulty putting it together, however it was quite time consuming. At first the hamsters loved the cage, using their bedrooms and the wheel all the time. However after about 2 weeks our two boys started to fight and hurt each other so badly that we had to split them up. The good thing about this cage is that we could easily use the parts to construct two smaller type cages. I find the cage not difficult to take apart and clean, but very time consuming, it takes me about an hour to fully clean it. The only problem our hammys have is climbing the vertical tubes. They are however only babies and as they get bigger should be able to manage them ok. As for now, the wire ladders are the perfect solution. Would recommend this cage to anyone.
