Ordered on Sunday and got the filter on Wednesday, 3 day service to ROI - top notch!! Filter is truly brilliant! Installed it on my girlfriend’s 30 litre bowl (I know! But she insisted it has to be a bowl) and it fits perfectly and because of bowl’s curves it’s hardly visible (only from certain angles). It’s almost silent; think the bubbles released by the air stone are much noisier. Gives the decent current, but if you direct it to the centre of the tank or direct your air stone’s bubble towards the output nozzle, the fish would not notice unless they swim directly into it – some will enjoy it! Have run fishless tank cycle for 3 and a half days, also using the Nutrafin cycle (water was also treated with conditioner) and introduced the goldies (again my girl insisted it has to be goldfish) today! They are happy as larry, swimming around (we put all the decorations and plastic plants close to the centre of the bowl – to allow them to swim around the tank), playing with bubbles, playing with gravel. Back to the filter, it is fairly easy to put it all together, but you need to allow around an hour for assembling. Manual is great and the dvd included shows everthing step by stepWhen you pump the filter manually the first time it will pump around 3-4 litres of water so if you have a small tank (or a bowl) it is handy to have some conditioned water ready so you can top the bowl. To sum up, great filter for small tanks, cheap! and efficient! Glad we got it!!
