Just purchased this kit from Seapets and I'm delighted with it. Setting up the cabinet took some time, but everything is engineered well and pieces fit together precisely. It's not harder than building any flat-packed self-assembly cabinet but feels much sturdier - that's a bonus considering how heavy the tank is when filled with gravel and water.

The tank itself feels very solid, built from thick and clear glass. It's quite heavy even when empty, so you're better off asking for someone else to help you in lifting and placing it onto its stand.

The filter stems work well and provides a neat appearance as well as convenient operation. The filter that comes with it is the 305 model, which is perfect for this size. It's quiet and efficient and provides utmost flexibility in accommodating any type of media. Mechanical, biological and chemical filtration media are all provided, although I've decided to set aside the activated carbon pouches for now and utilise that space for additional biological filtration.

The lights provided are perfect for growing even those plants requiring high intensity lighting.

Seapets thoughtfully includes a starter pack with this kit which provides gravel, a net, a background and a gravel cleaner - all of which are either essential or useful to have when you're setting this up - no useless freebies thrown in here, which is nice.

I've added a CO2 injection system and ordered some live aquatic plants from this site as well. Everything's looking and running beautifully.

It's not the cheapest bit of kit, but you really do get what you pay for in this case. Highly recommended.
