Senior Pet Advisor - Tollgate, Colchester Store

This position involves assisting in-store customers, advising on keeping various pets and fish, their general health matters, nutritional advice and housing requirements. Being a senior position, helping, guiding and the basic training of regular pet advisors will also be part of the duties. Training in animal and fish care will be offered to enhance the succesful candidates existing experience. Opportunities to gain suitable qualifications will be provided and supported, should the candidate desire.

Previous retail sales experience in an advisory trade will be the major advantage with a willingness to help both customers and staff with their pet care. Experience in either fish or pet keeping will be a further advantage. Candidates must be able to travel to the Colchester store, have good communication skills and be of regular, tidy appearance.

As part of the leisure industry, this employment is a long term, full time position, consisting of a five day week which will involve regular weekend work. Wage according to experience and position, paid weekly. The opportunities for future promotion of this position could lead to Assistant Manager and Manager.

Pet Advisor - Tollgate, Colchester Store. - Full Time Only (five day week, will include weekend work)

This position involves assisting customers with advice on pet and fish keeping and being able to offer the most suitable products for their needs. Livestock and the accessories and feeds will be maintained to a high standard. Combined with maintaining a section of the store with display and stock control responsibilities. Full training will be offered, however this position does require a willingness to learn by the candidate. Opportunities to progress in the future are to a Department Manager, Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager.

Whilst some retail experience would be useful, a willingness to be a reliable, trustworthy and conscientious employee is essential.
